Story Intro

From the same fertile plains as the award-winning Pho Spice Espresso 2024 crop.   Grown near an active volcano, the beans develop a unique depth and character. While climate change has introduced subtle shifts even within the same region and from the same producers has softening the signature spice.   The coffee still offers a bold, layered profile that captures the spirit of its volcanic origins.

The Process

The coffee was grown near Mount Kerinci, an active and highest volcano in the Sumatra Indonesia. This region is known for its fertile volcanic soil, high altitude, and diverse microclimates.

This is a semi-washed process where the coffee cherries are depulped, but some mucilage (the sticky fruit layer) is left on the beans during drying.
